• Downtown: 8th Street bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops

• Near the ERB: Pie Hole, Burger Belly, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Albertsons, Whole Foods, Pita Pit, Happy Teriyaki

• Community Supported Agriculture (CSAs): sign up to support your local ag. community and enjoy weekly fresh produce. Global Gardens CSA pick-up is located on the BSU campus. Many CSAs in Boise support local refugees. 

​

• Boise Farmers Market: Open Saturdays from 9am - 1pm, April - October. Order online earlier in the week, drive/walk through to pick up during Covid-19 times. ​

• Capital City Farmers Market: Open Saturdays from 9:30am - 1:30pm, July - October. Currently located on 34th St in Garden City, directly off of the Boise River Greenbelt, to mitigate the risks of Covid-19. 

Outdoor Recreation

• Float the Boise River: a great way to stay cool on those hot summer days! Rent a tube, raft, or kayak, ride the shuttle or carpool. Common drop-in and pull-out locations located at Barber Park and Ann Morrison Park.

• Bogus Basin: nordic/alpine skiing and snowshoeing (winter), mountain biking and hiking (summer), Music on the Mountain (summer), located ~45 min. from the ERB.

​

• Boise River Greenbelt: the best way to bike or walk around town. Find a park, get downtown, get to campus, dip your toes in the Boise River, or bring a picnic. 

​

• BSU Cycling Club: get out on your bicycle to compete or ride with your friends at Boise State. 

​

Music

• Neurolux: great music venue with bar. Located downtown on N 11th St.

​

• The Knitting Factory: regular live music events. Located downtown on S 9th St.

​

• The Balcony Club: amazing gay club with regular drag show events, live DJs, and outdoor seating. Located downtown on N 8th St.​

​

• JUMP: large venue hosting live music, classes, community events, you name it! Located near downtown on W Myrtle St. 

​

• Pengilly's Saloon: old-timey bar and saloon with local music and outdoor seating. Located downtown on W Main St.

​

• The Sandbar Patio & Grill: enjoy some locally-sourced grub with frequent outdoor live music and water views. Located right off of the Boise Greenbelt in Garden City.
